Acceptable Use Policy

Customers may not use Extranet services to engage in activities including but not limited to:

  • Distribution of malicious software
  • Cybercrime-related activities
  • Harassment or abuse of other users
  • Activities that violate applicable laws

Any such activities may result in immediate suspension or termination of services.

  1. Network Abuse

Customers must not engage in actions that may disrupt, damage, or negatively affect network performance.

Examples include:

  • Denial-of-Service (DoS) attacks
  • Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attacks
  • Excessive automated traffic generation
  • Port scanning
  • Network probing
  • Unauthorized vulnerability testing
  • Routing manipulation

Extranet reserves the right to investigate and restrict such activity immediately.

  1. Spam and Unsolicited Communications

Customers may not use Extranet services to:

  • Send spam emails
  • Send unsolicited commercial messages
  • Conduct phishing campaigns
  • Distribute deceptive advertisements
  • Operate bulk messaging systems without authorization

Repeated violations may result in account suspension or termination.

  1. Malware and Security Threats

Customers must not:

  • Create or distribute malware
  • Spread viruses, worms, ransomware, or spyware
  • Operate botnets
  • Host malicious software
  • Facilitate cyberattacks

Extranet may immediately restrict access to protect the network and other customers.

  1. Illegal Content

Customers may not use Extranet services to store, transmit, publish, or distribute content that:

  • Violates applicable laws
  • Promotes criminal activity
  • Infringes intellectual property rights
  • Contains child exploitation material
  • Contains unlawful hate content
  • Encourages violence or terrorism
  • Violates court orders or regulatory directives

Extranet may cooperate with law enforcement agencies where legally required.

  1. Intellectual Property Rights

Customers must respect the intellectual property rights of others.

Unauthorized downloading, sharing, distribution, reproduction, or transmission of copyrighted content may violate applicable laws and may result in service restrictions or legal action.

  1. Fair Usage

Extranet may implement fair usage practices to maintain service quality and network stability.

Customers must not intentionally consume network resources in a manner that:

  • Degrades service for other users
  • Causes congestion
  • Impacts network performance

Reasonable traffic management measures may be applied when necessary.

  1. Hosting and Server Activities

Customers operating servers, websites, applications, or cloud services through Extranet connections remain responsible for ensuring that such services comply with this AUP.

Customers must ensure that hosted services:

  • Do not distribute malware
  • Do not facilitate cybercrime
  • Do not host illegal content
  • Do not generate abusive traffic
  1. Monitoring and Investigation

Extranet may monitor network activity, system performance, and security events to:

  • Protect network infrastructure
  • Prevent abuse
  • Investigate complaints
  • Comply with legal obligations

Monitoring is conducted in accordance with applicable laws and our Privacy Policy.

  1. Enforcement Actions

If Extranet reasonably believes that a customer has violated this AUP, we may take actions including:

  • Issuing warnings
  • Restricting network access
  • Blocking traffic
  • Suspending services
  • Terminating accounts
  • Reporting unlawful activities to relevant authorities

The severity of enforcement actions will depend on the nature of the violation.

  1. Limitation of Responsibility

Customers remain solely responsible for:

  • Activities conducted through their connection
  • Devices connected to their network
  • Security of their systems and credentials
  • Content transmitted through their account

Failure to secure customer-owned equipment does not exempt customers from compliance with this policy.

  1. Policy Updates

Extranet may update this Acceptable Use Policy periodically to reflect changes in technology, security requirements, legal obligations, and business operations.

Updated versions will be published on our website and become effective upon publication.
